When rainclouds followed us to Port Aransas, I worried our RV beach vacation would be ruined. But Port A RV Resort had us covered—literally.
We made use of the rec room, where neighbors gathered to play cards and share snacks. I cooked up a warm pot of seafood chowder on the stove: shrimp, corn, potatoes, and cream bubbling together while rain tapped on the roof.
By the next day, the skies cleared. We headed out to Horace Caldwell Pier to watch fishermen reel in catches, then spent the afternoon exploring boutiques downtown.
What started as a gloomy forecast turned into one of the coziest and most memorable vacations we’ve ever had. Port A RV Resort proved that even rainy days can shine.
